The Wake County graduate chapters of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Iota Iota and Xi Mu Mu Chapters are jointly presenting their annual Talent Hunt Program virtually on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 3:00 pm via ZOOM. Participation in the Virtual Talent Hunt Program is available for school-aged music students in the geographic areas served by the two chapters of Wake, Johnston, and Lee Counties and is part of the network of Talent Hunt Programs being presented by the international organization’s chapters throughout the Fraternity’s Sixth District (the Carolinas) and its other districts.
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity’s Talent Hunt Program provides exposure, encouragement, and financial assistance to talented young people participating in the performing arts. In the competitive category of the local Talent Hunt Program, the participants will be vying for the dual top prizes, one for each chapter of $500 and an engraved plaque. Both of our two first place winners will go on to be in the Sixth District Virtual Talent Hunt during our Third Council Meeting on a date to be determined, and if they make the top ten they will have an opportunity to represent this area in the Sixth District Annual Meeting Virtual Talent Showcase. The local Talent Hunt Program will also recognize one second-place contestant with an award of $300 and a certificate, and one third-place contestant with an award of $200 and a certificate. There are also a limited number of non-competitive performance slots for middle school performers in the local Talent Hunt Program.
